Description

Tekenos-Levy Law is the criminal defence practice of Jordan Tekenos-Levy on Princess Street in downtown Kingston. Jordan was born and raised in Kingston and has devoted his career exclusively to criminal law since he was called to the Bar in 2016. On May 1, 2026, the Law Society of Ontario designated him a Certified Specialist in Criminal Law.

Impaired driving defence in Kingston

Jordan represents people charged under the Criminal Code, including impaired driving, over 80 and refusal charges. He appears regularly in the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice. An impaired driving case depends on the details of the investigation: why you were stopped, the grounds for the breath demand, your access to a lawyer and how the breath samples were taken. Jordan reviews those details and explains your options before you decide how to proceed.

His approach is deliberate and personal, grounded in preparation, measured advocacy and respect for the process, and he acts with discretion.

Background

  • BA in Criminology (Saint Mary’s University), MSc in International Politics (University of Glasgow), LLB (University of Edinburgh)
  • Articled under barrister Richard J. Aitken

  • Certified Specialist in Criminal Law, Law Society of Ontario (2026)

Traffic and provincial offences

Mark W. Cardy, a licensed paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario, represents clients on traffic tickets, provincial offences and certain minor criminal matters.
